WHAT 2 FAMOUS PSYCHOLOGISTS SAY ABOUT KINDNESS: PIAGET and VYGOTSKY

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

Dr. Barry Stockhamer, a former Principal and Special Education teacher, witnessed firsthand how kindness practiced early helps children thrive and grow into compassionate individuals. This story celebrates empathy, kindness, caring, and helping others, including children who may feel left out or alone—lessons that stay with children long after the final page is turned.

Dr Stockhamer holds an EdD in Educational Leadership from the University of Southern California. He taught special education at the elementary and high school level. As Assistant Principal he directed the Counseling Office, and Special Education Department.  He later served as Principal at a Title I elementary school in Indio, California.

Dr Stockhamer spent 31 years with the Los Angeles Dodgers as Vice President of Marketing, where he created many award-winning programs including salutes to teachers and students. He received Major League Baseball’s Outstanding Marketing Award for the Dodgers’ 100th Anniversary Celebration in 1990. As director of the Diamond Vision operation he oversaw its debut at Dodger Stadium in 1980, for the MLB All Star Game, as the first outdoor color video system in the world.
